Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest park in Uganda and it connects all National parks in the Western region.
Although it is a small park, it’s the only park best to view the 350 bird species recording including the kingfisher, papyrus, yellow warble, great snipe, white winged warbler.

The park was found in 1952 as Kazinga National park and is known to be a home to 95 species of mammals and over 500 species of birds. At the Ishasha sector there are tree climbing lions.
The Park is known for its famous volcanic features including volcanic cones and steep deep craters such as katwe craters which is known for salt mining.
At queen Elizabeth, you can have the best view of Kazinga channel where the highest population of hippos is found.
This channel continues from Lake George in north east to Lake Edward in the southwest and a nearby forest of Maramagambo which is a habitat to most of the bird species in the park.

Continue with the journey and go through the cultivated land and cattle grazing areas. Your next stop will be at Lake Mburo going through the Nshara gate.
Start off with the game drive as you sight the Impalas, Buffaloes, Elands and many others. check into your hotel for lunch as you prepare for an experience of a boat ride.
In the afternoon, enjoy your boat ride with an experienced game ranger, you will see different bird species like the fish eagle, king fisher, shoebill and many more.

Day 2 Travel to Queen Elizabeth | 3 Days Mburo Queen Elizabeth Package
Wake up early morning for a heavy breakfast and continue for the trail.
Our guide will drive you towards lake mburo Rwonyo headquarters, have a good chance to see the hyenas coming back to their dens, hippos walking back to the water bodies.
Have an amazing experience to search for buffalos, impala, Uganda kobs, leopards, Eland the beautiful Zebras and Giraffes.
You will also see some other animals you could have missed out during the evening game drive. And later, Check out at the lodge.
Then, drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for the 3oclock boat ride at Kazinga channel where you will have an experience to see one of the largest concentration of hippos and numerous crocodiles, buffalos, among others.
This channel attracts a variety of animals and bird species. Get ready after the boat ride to experience the salt mining at Lake Katwe for 1 hour with the local people.
