Well, it is recorded, previously the group was known as "Bitukura". The name originating from the virtue that these gigantic gorillas were first spotted around River Bitukura. This group's habituation took only 15 months to habituate them because of the calmness and friendliness nature of this family. In many families it took 2 and above years to habituate them.
Ruhija Family Mountain Gorilla Hierarchy:

The tourist nature of Ruhija came to existence prior with twenty four members, who have now decreased due to disputes for power, of course this forced the other minorities to accept defeat and leave the group to join others.
